Drops of Life in Montlouis, France

Collège Raoul Rebout in Montlouis are at the moment working on The Drops Of Life. School is in the process of studying the play and have worked, with the French and maths teacher of a year 7class (24 children, 11-12 years old). They are planning to plant a tree at school and also in the village where they live. The kids are very motivated. They started with the study of a book from Jean Giono called "Lhomme qui plantait les arbres" and are planning on making a blog about their work. Their premiere will take place at the beginning of May. The decor will be done by the children with the art teacher and the songs studied with the music teacher.

After reading about the success you've head with Drops of Life, I wanted to share a campaign that may be intersting to many of the performers and supports of this show: The Nature Conservancy's Plant a Billion Trees Campaign.

We launched this campaign to support our restoration efforts in the Atlantic Forests of Brazil, where we’re planting one billion trees on 2.5 million acres by 2015. This ambitious project will connect more than 12 million acres of forests corridors, remove 10 million tons of CO2 annually from the atmosphere, protect watersheds serving 70 million people and directly create 20,000 jobs.

To get involved, visitors can go to the campaign’s website WWW.PLANTABILLION.ORG to learn more about the project, explore the Atlantic Forest through an interactive map highlighting the people, plants and animals of this spectacular region, get involved by telling friends, or downloading a widget to raise awareness and funds on social networks like FACEBOOK and MYSPACE.
